Jennifer is the second release from Kochi-based band The Derelicts!

The Derelicts! are a four-piece band made up by Ashwin Nath on vocals, guitars and synths, Sabarish Menon on the guitars, Sreekanth Bhasi on the bass and Biju Karthik on the drums. Hailing from diverse musical inclinations and backgrounds, and influenced by a variety of artists like Incubus, Prince, Anderson Paak, and My Bloody Valentine, they came together to create a unique sound.

The song is commentary on pop culture and the reality of youngsters scrambling to create a fake persona and social life in a shallow pursuit of success. The message resonates strongly throughout the song with the question, “Why keep living a lie?”
